Some counterfeit bills have law officers in several communities working with the U.S. Secret Service, Douglas County Sheriff Charlie McGrew said Thursday. The investigation heated up Saturday when Douglas County officers arrested two people for allegedly passing counterfeit $20 bills at yard sales in Hindsboro. Taken into custody were a man, who was later identified as Eutimio Rojas, 24, from Arcola, and Laura Betencourt, 46, also of Arcola. Christian County, IL – Man Arrested Trying To Harvest Marijuana
Deputies in Christian County have made another big pot bust. Investigators say Kevin Binkley planted marijuana deep in the woods at Sangchris Lake. The area is very isolated and accessible only by boat. Christian County Sheriff Deputies spent 8 days keeping on eye on the marijuana patch.
